Nicola White has been a qualified podiatrist for 21 years and has been working at The Heeler Centre since 2007. She has taught clinical podiatry at the University of Brighton for the past 18 years and became a Fellow in 2008 for her contribution to the profession. She practices all aspects of clinical podiatry and carries out minor operative procedures for ingrown toe nails under local anaesthetic here at the clinic.

Why did you choose your profession?

To be able to meet people and to have a skill and work with my hands

What do you most enjoy about your work?

I most enjoy alleviating people’s pain, sometimes immediately, getting to know the local community and working with different materials and equipment.

What are your specialisms?

Ingrowing toenails and skin lesions.

What conditions do you most enjoy treating?

Ingrowing toenails and corns

When are you available at The Heeler Centre?

Monday: 9.00am - 5.00pm

Do you accept insurance work?

Yes. Those which cover podiatry and/or chiropody.
