As a qualified Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, I am registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to their Code of Ethics.

Humanistic and Integrative practice centres on the collaborative relationship between client and therapist, exploring thoughts and feelings, and understanding patterns of behaviour.

How Counselling can help

Experience has taught me there are many reasons why people come for counselling, maybe there are specific issues that you would like to address, or perhaps you are struggling to come to terms with things that have happened in your past that are affecting your daily life.  Are you afraid to ask for what you need, saying yes when you want to say no, full of doubt about your own abilities and self-worth? We all have blindspots and talking through your issues can help you to see situations in a different light, leading to healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

No matter how small you think the problem is if it’s affecting your wellbeing and happiness, talking it through with a professional can help give you clarity. I can help you to understand yourself and build upon your own strengths and resources and restore balance to your life.

How I work

My approach is warm and engaging and I place you the client at the centre of counselling which enables me to understand how you see yourself. I will not make judgments but recognise the way in which you perceive the world around you. I provide a safe, supportive and confidential space where you can talk about distressing or stressful events or situations.

I have great respect for all those who have the courage to seek counselling by supporting their capacity for self-awareness, integrity, and resilience.

Our work centres around your therapy goals, and your search for answers and resolutions to often difficult questions. As an integrative therapist, I work creatively and holistically, tailoring sessions depending on your individual needs.

I work with individuals on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period, you decide whatever feels right for you.

My core modalities are Person-Centred, Transactional Analysis and Gestalt.
