Jade Walford BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy MSST
Jade has always lived in Sussex by the sea and loves being in the water. She graduated in 2011 from the University of Chichester with BSc Hons Sports Therapy.
While at university, she worked within the medical team for Brighton & Hove Albion FC where she continued to work after graduating. Upon leaving the football club, Jade joined The Heeler Centre where, alongside her time in the clinic, she also worked at Haywards Heath Rugby Football Club.
Now, Jade works in the clinic full-time treating people of all ages specialising in sports massage, sports therapy, sports injury and rehabilitation to alleviate pain and increase flexibility. She particularly enjoys getting to know her patients and working alongside the rest of The Heeler Centre team.
How long have you worked at The Heeler Centre?
Since August 2012.
Why did you choose Sports Therapy as your profession?
I used to have intense physiotherapy when I used to do ballet and due to long term injury had to stop dancing, having always had that interest in physiotherapy chose to go into sports therapy to help people in a similar way I was helped when injured
What do you most enjoy about your work?
I enjoy treating people specifically with ankle, neck or shoulder issues, and anyone who suffered headaches or migraines.
Jade particularly enjoys getting to know and listening to her patients and help them have a better quality of life.
What are your specialisms within Sports Therapy?
Sports Therapy for treating muscular-skeletal sports injuries using sports massage and mobilisation as the main treatment modality.
What conditions do you most enjoy treating?
Neck pain, ankle issues and shoulder injuries (I love the complexity!) And anyone who suffers headaches or migraines.
When are you available?
Monday to Saturday, with Wednesdays off.
