Corporate Services

There is a legal requirement, no matter what size your business is, (the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992) to conduct a specific display screen equipment risk assessment for employees.

The law requires that you take the right precautions to reduce the risks of workplace dangers and provide a safe working environment for yourself, your employees and the public.

Working at a computer can be the cause or trigger of chronic and debilitating conditions such as back pain and repetitive strain injuries (RSI) to the neck, arms and shoulders.

The Health and Safety Executive has put down a set of rules and guidelines to be complied with that determine what kind of quipment you should be providing at the minimum and how it should be organised in relation to the user to minimize the risk of injury.

As Osteopaths, we are expert in understanding the body in terms of posture, structure and function to promote optimal body use and minimize the risk of strain and injury.

This together with our knowledge of Health and Safety requirements means that we can provide competent Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Risk Assessments in your office to help you comply with the law.

We will evaluate your members of staff at their computer station and proceed to a risk assessment, we precisely determine if all the different aspects of the user’s work comply with the minimal legal requirements. If not we will recommend the changing of equipment as appropriate.

Our Osteopath Alexandra Luzzato has over the last four years acquired invaluable experience performing such assessments for offices.
